The International Society of Configuration Management (ISCM) was established in 1995. Their charter is to provide a global organization
for CM Professionals to exchange ideas, create standards and publications, and provide for a Certification Program. For two years ISCM has been gathering members from
all over the world. There are three categories of Members: Charter, Regular, and Limited. Charter Members are those individuals who helped establish ISCM. They have patiently waited for the Society to get up and running.
Regular Members pay the new yearly price of twenty dollars a year. Limited Memberships are granted to those who pass the CICM examinations. Memberships will become active when the official membership kits
are mailed in February. ISCM now has over 2,000 registered members and is ready to kick off. The delay has been caused in part by our commitment to establish an organization for CM Professionals without outside sponsors.
After years of being treated like the unwanted orphan, Configuration Management Professionals now have a place where they are wanted, and can contribute to the growth of the key process of CM.
The Society will provide members the opportunity to interact with other CM Professionals over the Internet. A Job Board, CM Magazine, Chat Room, and Library of CM knowledge are all planed for the ISCM Home Page.
Yearly Conferences will be held in the US as well as other countries.
